PTC or PCT

We were learning about genes in science, so we had to taste this stuff called PTC or PCT can't remember. Some people actually can't taste it. Me I can taste just not as bad or fast as most people. Tastes a little better than Vegemite. To me at least. Every one at my table could taste it except me. One guy described it as tasting like cat barf then a dog at that and then pooping it out and both animals barfing on that. Me and this other guy agreed that it tasted like to much salt(smoked) and mixed with a chemical. I thought I'd never taste anything like that again until my mom make ice-cream with our blender. It was good but had this nasty after taste. I couldn't figure out what it tasted like until I remembered PTC or PCT whichever it was. Mom nor most of my siblings tasted anything. And I'm still trying to find out what tasted like PTC or PCT whatever.
