it's taken way my breath
and brought forth the present
we live in a life full of death
all will die though may be hesitant
flowers adorn the sullen graves
full of grace and tears
and not even you can save
what is the most dear
to you and what is the most
loved of all your possessions
full and rid of their host
gone and broke even lessons
learned long ago have lost
all meaning they ever had
polished over and glossed
could you ever think it lad
that this world so full of wonder
could end being so dark
could become so asunder
just wish and fly far way like a lark

Poem #10
~ The Pawn ~
You see the time
and your eyes fall upon
an old dusty rhyme
next to an marble chess pawn
dusty and cold a feeling lingered
I looked over the poem at dawn
and let the pawn in my hand to be fingered
an old love twisted by the hourglass
of life left unknown till the last

Poem #9
--- Truth ---
I quickly race inside the empty house
sneak round quieter than a mouse
turn the computer of silence on
open up tabs till it turns dawn
finally finding my sis's blog
quickly I turn bout, only fog
can see what I do and love to play
I click new, type, publish and stay
on that page for a moment
admiring the work I've sent
and pasted and put onto her page
oh no she won't be in rage
she never checks her helpless
blog and so I assess
to complete and type upon
her life story leaving it anon
unknown to her is this simple fact
let it be kept that way less I be attacked
;)

open up tabs till it turns dawn
finally finding my sis's blog

Poem #8
Sorrow
A hope dashed
cut and slashed
an overwhelming dark
a dying spark
of drowned light
lost from sight
the fear that stays
it surrounds and lays
down a stone
made of a bone
of a child's cry
a wreck and a lie
my broken heart
ripped apart
a sorrow full
left and dull
A hope dashed
cut and slashed
an overwhelming dark
a dying spark
of drowned light
lost from sight
the fear that stays
it surrounds and lays
down a stone
made of a bone
of a child's cry
a wreck and a lie
my broken heart
ripped apart
a sorrow full
left and dull
